About the Artist
Danny Boland was inducted into The Grund Club Luxembourg in September 2014, at the Liquid bar in Grund, Luxembourg City, where the first ever The Grund Club SONGWRITERS show was held. The show was co-hosted by Irina Holzinger, Lata Gouveia and Priscila da Costa. He had been put forward to the Club by Roger Hamen, who was officiating on drums that night. He brought 4 of his original songs into The Grund Club Song Catalogue on that occasion. Danny Boland was the first ever songwriter guest, our first ever inductee.
Danny is British but lives in Luxembourg and has been singing since he can remember. His main instrument is his voice, however he started to play the guitar at the age of 15 and began writing songs at about 16 years old. He plays the guitar, slide guitar, mandolin, harmonica and simple piano. He started gigging at the age of 17 and has been playing around Luxembourg ever since. His main influences include Bob Dylan, Rory Gallagher, The Beatles and Ed Sheeran. He has recorded his first EP last year in April 2015.
